You <i>could</i> spend the rest of your Icarus-less time replaying Metroid Prime Hunters and developing stylus strategies for minimum hand discomfort&#x2026; or, instead, you could mosey on down to the videos below for a sneak peek at a few of the things you can look forward to in Pit's soaring adventure.<br/><br/>If IGN Executive Editor Rich George's <a target="_blank" href="http://ds.ign.com/articles/122/1221062p1.html">Kid Icarus Uprising review</a> wasn't enough to convince you of the game's strengths, these videos should do the trick (after all, there's still time to pre-order and get that <a target="_blank" href="http://ds.ign.com/articles/121/1216830p1.html">download code for 3D Classics Kid Icarus</a>). Trust us - hand pain or not, this is certainly a 3DS game well worth owning.<br/><br/>First, let's take a brief look at the gorgeous world of Uprising. The game boasts some of the nicest graphics on the system, as well as some of the most vibrant world design, all brought to life in stunning 3D. Below is a clip taken from Pandora's Labyrinth of Deceit. Fasten your seatbelt and prepare for a mind-bending ride.<br/><br/> <object id="vid_155febd18fad89fe75c6b90da628ad7b" class="ign-videoplayer" width="468" height="286" data="http://oystatic.ignimgs.com/src/core/js/../swf/IGNPlayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="movie" value="http://oystatic.ignimgs.com/src/core/js/../swf/IGNPlayer.swf"/><param name="" value="true"/><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000"/><param name="flashvars" value="url=http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/03/22/kid-icarus-uprising-pandoras-groovy-world"/><param name="wmode" value="opaque"/></object> <br/><br/>Kid Icarus Uprising features a huge selection of weapons, with nine different weapon types and more than 100 different weapons to choose from. There's even variation among the same kind of weapon, as each can come with different modifiers and abilities. Collecting weapons is one of the more interesting parts of the experience, so prepare to spend a lot of time considering modifiers and the tradeoff between powerful melee weapons and more well-rounded, ranged devices. Below is a small glimpse of one of the canon's in action.<br/><br/> <object id="vid_5e11492cbf0f87b04e2bc0d5dd1d533c" class="ign-videoplayer" width="468" height="286" data="http://oystatic.ignimgs.com/src/core/js/../swf/IGNPlayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="movie" value="http://oystatic.ignimgs.com/src/core/js/../swf/IGNPlayer.swf"/><param name="" value="true"/><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000"/><param name="flashvars" value="url=http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/03/22/kid-icarus-uprising-cannon-action"/><param name="wmode" value="opaque"/></object> <br/><br/>Another incredibly impressive feature of Kid Icarus Uprising is the Fiend's Cauldron - the game's difficulty system that requires players to bet on their ability to beat a level on a higher setting. It's a truly brilliant system, and one that allows for nearly infinite replay value. Below is a sample of the very first level on 9 - the hardest difficulty setting. Trust us - it gets a lot crazier in the later levels, but this should still give you a good idea of how much more aggressive enemies are as the difficulty increases.<br/><br/> <object id="vid_2be8714c4b81eec27bf7482a3dbd775e" class="ign-videoplayer" width="468" height="286" data="http://oystatic.ignimgs.com/src/core/js/../swf/IGNPlayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="movie" value="http://oystatic.ignimgs.com/src/core/js/../swf/IGNPlayer.swf"/><param name="" value="true"/><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000"/><param name="flashvars" value="url=http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/03/22/kid-icarus-uprising-up-the-stakes"/><param name="wmode" value="opaque"/></object> <br/><br/>And now for a look at one of the game's more polarizing aspects - the running commentary. You'll either love the hyper cheesy humor and over-the-top voice acting or seriously resent them for killing any sense of drama. Below is an early look at Palutena and Pit talking - the joke's get a lot more cringe-worthy later on, but this should help you brace yourself for the voices you'll be hearing non-stop throughout your adventure (unless you turn the voices on mute, that is&#x2026; which is an option).<br/><br/> <object id="vid_ddc25566cbdb41c76c82fd7dfcd9426d" class="ign-videoplayer" width="468" height="286" data="http://oystatic.ignimgs.com/src/core/js/../swf/IGNPlayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="movie" value="http://oystatic.ignimgs.com/src/core/js/../swf/IGNPlayer.swf"/><param name="" value="true"/><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000"/><param name="flashvars" value="url=http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/03/22/kid-icarus-uprising-running-commentary"/><param name="wmode" value="opaque"/></object> <br/><br/>And, finally, below is a look at the multiplayer mode. This sample is from a free-for-all match without items. We plan on posting full matches later on, but for now this should give you an idea on what you can expect when <a target="_blank" href="http://ds.ign.com/articles/121/1219204p1.html">killing Pit</a>.<br/><br/> <object id="vid_692d647ea00f055aadba9b2fef19fc78" class="ign-videoplayer" width="468" height="286" data="http://oystatic.ignimgs.com/src/core/js/../swf/IGNPlayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="movie" value="http://oystatic.ignimgs.com/src/core/js/../swf/IGNPlayer.swf"/><param name="" value="true"/><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000"/><param name="flashvars" value="url=http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/03/22/kid-icarus-uprising-angel-on-angel-violence"/><param name="wmode" value="opaque"/></object> <br/><br/><DIV CLASS="IGNE_divider"></DIV><br/><br/>There you have it - an early look at one of the year's most anticipated 3DS titles. What do you think? Are you excited for Pit's latest? Do the controls still have you apprehensive? Have you pre-ordered, or are you not yet convinced?
